Kate was born in NYC, but soon found herself relocated to Keene Valley, NY a town that now functions as a strange attractor in the trajectory of her life.

Currently a full-time MLS student at the University of Buffalo, she found her to the other side of the library desk after stints as a production manager for a newspaper, a web monkey, and a general manager for a large real-estate leasing and services company. She was 14 when she got her first library job, and– like Keene Valley– she kept returning until the fact that she loved it enough to pay for a degree smacked her over the head.

When not thinking about libraries and the information they house, Kate keeps busy by indulging her font fetish, picking through other people’s garbage, and tickling her 5-year-old daughter.
